Topic: Power in His Name [Tuesday February 24, 2015] Memorise: Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. - Psalm 29:2 Read: (Philippians 2:9-11 KJV) 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Bible in one year: Ezekiel 16, Revelation 5:1-6:2 MESSAGE: One of the first things that a genuinely born-again Christian will quickly recognise about the Christian experience is the fact that there is power in the Name of Jesus. What the scriptures are telling us is to STAND FIRM on the word of God and remain RESOLUTE in trusting God as a demonstration of our FAITH. That is your own work. If we look at the Authority Jesus gave to us in Eph. 18-21 and the victory we have in Christ as clearly stated in 1 John 5:4 then you will see that there is no need to begin to imagine yourself in a duel with the devil. Your authority and spiritual status place you far above principalities and powers as stated in Eph.1:21 and Col.18. The toe of a king controls ...
